I do not know if others agree but I think this one is a keeper. I have played around with photo effects and find I am very picky as what I call good, well least ways with my stuff. This one I like and would love to have a metal print made of it and to hang it on my wall. DragonFly as fine art, I like it!
With the temps in the single digits tonight I decided to go to the way-back-files. While I was there I found this dragonfly. Here is to the time I can pursue thee again ol’ flying dragon!
Tonight I have something new: An assistant photo editor. Butterfly decided that temperatures in the single digits, or lower, was an OK excuse for letting me kidnap her and bring her inside.Since being inside she has taking over the study or more specific The Bride or my desk. She would occupy both at the same time if she could I assure you…sigh. So meet my assistant photo editor.
I was looking through photos of a wedding I took last year as the second shooter. I was to take the casual and non-traditional shots as well as group shots. Since The Bride is starting Nursing school in less than two weeks I have looked at ways to supplement our income. One is to do portrait/wedding photography and I looked at those wedding shots to see if I had the right stuff. That is when I came across this photo of the bard that served as a backdrop for group shots. I saw that the “old” barn had a “new” addition and felt it was poetic as a backdrop because of the saying ” Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue”
This old car looks like it has some stories to tell and that I-have-been-wround-the-block look…..maybe more than once or twice look actually. I like it!
Our nephew and his fiance gave us a dog bed for The Boy for Christmas. Now this may seem like strange Christmas gift but we love our dog and they asked what we wanted. Now finding a bed for a Corgi can be a challenge for those who do not own Corgis. None the less the bed was perfect and the boy loves it. So does Jerry O’ TomKat and that should explain the post title just fine….

Yesterday was our 21st Wedding Anniversary and it was a great day. For the previous two nights The Bride and I had the privilege of watching one of our nieces. Yesterday after a causal breakfast and play time our day started like this:
