After driving umpteen miles for work today, I had to drive an hour plus to my dad’s place. Once there I replaced the radiator on The Brides ride. Since we were using his car he was glad to see me complete the task. On the way home night reclaimed its rightful place and the day move unto the next. With it came the Blue Moon. I was amazed and delighted by the light the Blue Moon was putting out. Since I have had little time to take any new captures as of recent, I went with one I took a few weeks back. Here is a Chicory plant basking in the sun.

A Good Day, A Very Good Day
This being the last day of The Bride and I’s staycation we simply wanted to be. We wanted to be with good friends, eat well and enjoy the day. Well for the record it was a good day, a very good day.

Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge – Beginnings
I’ve been photo-blogging for a little over a year and some change. In that time I have not being able to get in the flow of the “Challenges” on WordPress and of those of my fellow bloggers. Over at Ese’s Voice there is one I can get my mind, though maybe not skills, around. Here is my first attempt at blog-dome challenge!
Two Sides of Lincoln
After going to the farmers market The Bride and I went to visit a wonderful little hole-in-the-wall burger joint called Lahas. It has been in business since 1934 and we love just the place! It is in an adjoining county to ours but the burgers are worth the drive. They have crinkle fries as well. Crinkle fries rule! If you are ever in LaRue County Kentucky you need to check it out.
While I was there I took several photos of the above mentioned statues. Since I could not come up with a better title, I went with what it is: There are two statues in the town of Hodgenville, Ky representing two side of Abraham Lincoln. They are on the square and face one another on opposite sides of the square. Here are two very different takes of these statues. One is in HDR and the other is a traditional shot.
I used my Canon Powershot SX10is in these captures.
Good Eats
Yesterday was a good eats day and today is looking good in that department as well. As The Bride and I head out for the day here is a sampling from yesterday.

Jingle- Jangle
The Bride’s and my staycation took a three-day detour but we are finally had a day to ourselves. It ended with barb-q and started with a western omelet that was stuffed with local produce and prepared fresh to order. And many cups of Joe in between. Pics of that I will post later but till then here is my take on Jingle-Jangle (in B&W)!
Well they ain’t spurs but they are pretty cool none the less Partner.

Natures Bokeh
The perfect bokeh is said to have smooth edges of the images outside the depth of field. In researching this technique I came across the simplest and best explanation at Ken Rockwell.com. There are also varies sites on how to do this technique digitally but I am trying my hand at it using only the camera’s setting and my talent luck. So with that said here is natures bokeh. Let me know what you think.
