A Good Place To Sit
Spent a lovely evening in a small town not far from our place. Nothing like slowing down with a great meal with friends in a town that is kind of stuck in the past. The Main Street has several shops with either chairs of benches out front. I took several of a character laced old weathered metal chair. One is of an unedited and the other I used FX Photo Studio to apply some effects. I used a blur effect to soften the edges, so the chair was the main focal point, and then used the Napa filter to added little flavor to the already cool color of the chair.
P.S. Sorry about the really big font on the second photo……having a bit of a problem finding the right size font a very small-to-me iPod screen.
iPod Touched Rose
I have started a journey in mobile photography using an iPod Touch . I will use FX Photo Studio as my main editor for now . Here are two from this evening. One is a gently massage photo plus one using one of FX’s many effects. A blog I follow has me very excited , and challenged, about this form of personal expression. Check out Little Dogs Laughed for some pretty cool stuff!
Hanging Tough
I was out and about our place earlier this month trying out my Sony A300. I was having a decent test drive of the Sony but was not finding much to shoot because of the always present wind that day. I like shooting nature in macro and well wind is not your friend if that is your thing. As I was heading back in when I saw two Dragonflies on some weeds by the fence roll. As I approach one chanced the wind and headed farther into the field but the other, well he just decided to ride it out. So here is one cool Dragonfly Hanging Tough!
Cruisin’ Time Is A Comin’
Life’s Little Suprises
Today started out as a lovely overcast day. With the rains moving out the morning stayed pleasantly cool so The Bride and I went to the lake to enjoy it. I did not bring my normal long zoom Powershot SX10is but the lovely little Olympus SP-350. I was standing down by the water’s edge trying to get geese as they landed in the water but with zero luck when this little lady showed up. And she brought with her some of life’s little surprises.
Light And Shadow
I am trying to step up my game as far as indoor photography goes. I have a pretty good grip on the basics as far as outside lighting goes but indoor lighting has always eluded me. So as I try to find my place in the light I am finding the journey intriguing but somewhat painful. So here is the only decent capture from the past weekends journey into the light……and shadow.
