In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Ephemeral.”
By the time you read this the bowl will be empty due to the ephemeral nature of Pistachios.
Thursday’s Special: Multitude
Here is my late entry for Lost in Translations Thursday’s Special: Multitude
Cruisin’ Time Is Near
The Little Things
The last few days have had me with little sleep and The Bride with the flu. With that combo I have not been able to pursue a few things I have wanted to. That is Life 101 and I understand that but in those times I have been blessed with the ability to appreciate the little things. Yesterday, on my way in from the car to our home after work, I saw this little flower among the ruins of what was once our driveway. The last two Winters has ravaged it to nothing but a muddy mess. Yet right there among the mess is this beautiful little flower. I used my Wedding band as a gauge so one can see how small this flower is. Among the storms of life take time to look for and enjoy the little things.

Daffodils Through An Old Lens
Today I had about an hour to play with in between varies chores and social obligations. I grabbed my D60 and an old Nikon 35mm film camera lens and set off to get some snaps in. I do not know about all cameras but when you mate a manual film camera lens with a modern DSLR the light metering can be less than optimum. So I snagged an app for my iPod that came in very handy today. The first photo is an unedited but slightly cropped shot from today. The second is what the app looks like on my iPod. I will try it out with my extension tubes as I shot macro later this Spring.
Still Waiting
Mood Light
I have not had a good day taking snaps for sometime now. Weather, and gray days being the biggest obstacle to this fair weather photographer, have me searching else where. So where does one find inspiration? Inside a public restroom. Really I can’t make this stuff up. This light is the light inside the bathroom of one of my favorite art galleries Wild Earth Gallery. I saw an old brick wall joined with a newer drywall cover wall and both illuminated by a modern yet lantern like light and Ta Da: A Mood Light of Inspiration in the Winter desert.
