Meller Yeller or A Few Roses

I had a great post ready earlier and was about to post when “it” happened. You see I was using WP “New Post” feature on the tool bar. It started well, like a great first date, then I noticed there was no auto save or save draft feature. That is when the date went bad like week old sushi because mid-post Windows 7 decided to update for no apparent reason. Computer updated. Post gone like a ghost into where ever lost posts go. I tried to recreate the magic of the first post to no avail. So tying into my last post theme of the color yellow is a replacement post. Not as yellow, somewhat more subdued or as we say this side of the creek, a “Meller Yeller” or a few roses for those on the other side.

Small Wonders

I was out early this morning trying the AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) setting on my Canon Powershot but was not having much success at getting my head around this new-found tool. Maybe it was a lack of coffee but I just could not dial it in so I headed back home. Along the way I found this little purple bloom and a Hoverfly resting upon it. Just what I needed. Nothing big just small wonders.

Day Lillies Along The Fence Roll

It was about eight years ago I was re-bitten by the photograph bug. I was using a small mega pixel but huge bodied HP315 2.1mp camera my pops gave me. I was out with The Bride doing a little shopping when I came across a Vivitar Vivicam 8300s on sale. The Bride graciously encouraged me to buy the Vivicam 8300s and the journey continued. I can say if I had not purchased that camera I am not sure I would have pursued photography as I have. Thank you my Love for the encouragement. A desire for nature photography was just blooming, pun fully intended, and this shot of some Day Lillies Along The Fence Roll cemented it even further.

By Comparison

I have posted several shot of the Daisy Fleabane and the pollinators that visit there. So yesterday I took several more shots of them and of the little Sweat Bees that drop by for a fill-up. As I was watching several fly around I thought I should take a picture tat gave you all an idea of their sizes. The first shot is of a Fleabane along side of my Wedding Band by comparison. The second is of one the Sweat Bees on a Fleabane so you can see their size by comparison.
