Two From Autumns Past
With these two photos I am paying my respect to Autumns past since this is its last day for this year. I am also trying to bring some color to a very grey day, yep nothing says last day of Autumn and the first day of Winter like thunderstorms….yes thunderstorm a week after an ice-storm and snow storm. Well played Mother nature, well-played.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Let There Be Light!
I am trying to stretch myself and learning to shot outside passion of natures wonderment. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did shooting them!

Viceroy or Monarch
I have been calling all butterflies that look like Monarchs just that, Monarchs. This year I bought a book about butterflies and discovered something: Viceroys look like Monarchs or vice versa. Nice to know after four plus decades there is a difference! So I ask you my fellow bloggers which is it: A Viceroy or a Monarch?
A Few From The Day
Earlier today I had mentioned that I have a new home PC. Since I am trying to keep this one as free of clutter as possible I needed to find a solution for storing my captures else where. Because I do almost zero cloud storage of my photos I decided to start backing them up on discs and my second drive on the old my PC. I set up the old PC on my desk in the back office/Brides study room . This PC is set up in the living room in a computer armoire. There are two reasons for that: One is I want to be close to The Bride when she is not studying and secondly to keep my PC safe from the cats because they can bend an anvil!
As I was working on backing my shots up I went through my old desk , which I have not used for a long while, and found my solution for keeping my new PC less junked-up: Two thumb- drives. Score! I will download and edit on my slowly-but-yet-surely-less-cluttered PC and added the media from the thumb-drive. Nice.Since I had a plan and felt it well I went for a little walkabout on our place with my Canon Powershot S3is and the new-to-the-outside cat, Butterfly, as me companions. So here are a few from the day.

Pictures Past
One of the Fam has gifted me with a new computer for my Birthday. Since it is uncluttered to the ninth degree, something my old computers wasn’t, I will be spending the next several day deciding how to keep this one less disheveled than the last. What does that mean to you? Nothing really but I have need to post so I will be using some pics from my sites past. I will hopefully have some new things to present in a week or so but till then here is Pictures Past.

Two From An Autumn Past
Beauty Remains
Welcome To The Thistle Stop Filling Station
Once again I have hit a dry spell of new captures. This time it is due to the season opening play at our local Playhouse. Our playhouse rocks, and after a rocky season for The Bride and I, it was good to see a great start to a potentially great season. As many legs were broken on stage and the night…uh, early morning arrived , I had to once again dip into the way-back-files. Here is a capture of several pollinators getting topped off for the road. Welcome to the thistle stop filling station!

Basking
After driving umpteen miles for work today, I had to drive an hour plus to my dad’s place. Once there I replaced the radiator on The Brides ride. Since we were using his car he was glad to see me complete the task. On the way home night reclaimed its rightful place and the day move unto the next. With it came the Blue Moon. I was amazed and delighted by the light the Blue Moon was putting out. Since I have had little time to take any new captures as of recent, I went with one I took a few weeks back. Here is a Chicory plant basking in the sun.
