A Tiny Treasure

As those of you who follow this blog, both of you, know I love Spring and the many photo ops it brings. Well this Spring has not produced very many flowering things like it did last year. So as I was walking about our place I was over joyed to find this tiny treasure. Enjoy!

I wish I had taken a second shot of this with my finger nail as comparison. Why?Because it was about the same size as my nail.

One From Last March

Last year at this time I had many photo opportunities due to the very mild Winter we had. The mild Winter had Spring fooled into showing up three or so weeks ahead of its normal arrival time frame. Though this Winter was a moderate one, we do not have much blooming yet. So as I looked for something to post I found this one from last March. Enjoy!

I took this photo with my now deceased Nikon Coolpix 4600. I have purchased a Coolpix 5600 and I will test drive it as weather and my schedule permits.

Some 35mm B&W Film Love

I took the following photo at a Celtic Festival. I ask this young lady’s mother if I could take it and she said yes. I would not have otherwise but I think this is one of my best B&W captures. I was using the Bride’s Minolta X-370 35mm film camera.I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.5-25-2006-23

Daffodil Hill’s One Year Anniversary

This post is a re-blog of my very first post for Daffodil Hill Photography because today is a special day: Today is the One Year Anniversary of my blog Daffodil Hill Photography. This post is also the 250th post on this blog.

I believe I overshot my goal of ” just a picture or two or three once a week or so”. Last year was a very trying time personally for me and my Family and this blog, those who visited and who shared with me made the journey a little bit lighter and brighter. For that I want to say Thank You. Hopefully the next year will better for all of us. Till the next time remember to take the shot and always Enjoy!

The new blog is about my journey through pictures as a novice photographer. There will be some dialog but mostly just a picture or two or three once a week or so. Enjoy!

Two Is Better Than One

I cannot speak for the majority but I will say I am a better with others than by myself. I am much better with The Bride than without. A great friend is priceless and hard to come by as well. My Mom and my Dad were seen as one but yet they were two. I am better for that as well. The photo below my interpretation of two is better than one.

I used my Olympus SP-350 on this capture.

A Living Monument Of A Farm’s Past

When I first spotted this old barn I felt compelled to take the shot. I see a lot of old barns and this one is fairly typical of most: Solid and built to last in it’s time but it’s time is past. The combination of snow and sunless gloom of this particular day could not, in my mind’s eye, diminish this old barns rich and honorable past. To farmers old and new here is a living monument of a farm’s past.

I captured this wonderful old barn with my Powershot S3is.
