I was passing through Marion County in the Kentucky and seen this door. My Canon S3is had died and I was using my Pop’s Fuji S700. I was use to my S3 so when I used the S700 I framed the shot wrong and missed the top part of the brick arch work. That and the fact I was standing in the middle of the road, and had to grab some captures quick, may have had played a factor in that as well. I have not been able to get back and take any more but I am glad I took some that day.
After all this time, the door is still impressive. I can only imagine how impressive it was in its “glory days”.
