A Few From An Overcast Day

Here are a few from this overcast Labor Day. Enjoy!

New, to me, type of yellow flower that is now growing on our place. I guess I need to goggle it and see but not now.
I love rusty old things, so every once in a while I will shot a few pics of this old cattle gate on our place. The rain makes it look as if the rusty is silently weeping.
We hung up hummingbird feeders this year for the first time. Today was the first real opportunity I had to take a crack at catching one with my camera. I like it but there is much work to be done and needed skills acquired to shot hummingbirds.

I am a 61 year old guy who is asking questions about life like "what does it all mean?" and " how come hair will not grow on my head but grows real fast on my ears and back?" you know the deep stuff. I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for all. The rest I am still working on.

    1. Thank you. I stood on a footstool on our porch for about a half hour and took less than a dozen shots. This was the only keeper.

    1. Yes they are Oma and fast little suckers to boot. I was amazed that I got that shot really but I am not to proud to take lucky over good!

  1. John, Due to the droughts across the country the wildflowers have been decimated… so the hummingbirds are really dependent on the feeders this year to make their long migration. You may just be saving a little hummer’s life by keeping that feeder filled. Great photo. They are amazing birds. Many thanks.

    1. I must confess selfish desire was my motivation for the feeders. I just like watching them do their little dance around the feeders and our place.
