This, my seventy-fifth post, was inspired by Mike’s Look at Life photo of old metal. This old truck, I think, makes a great back drop for this Lily. Enjoy and thanks Mike!

I took this shot last year in August and wanted to capture how is seems to have stars implanted in the leaves. They seemed to shimmer in the sun and I wanted to get close and try to capture how beautiful this flower is. May I direct your attention to the lower right hand corner. Observe a leaf pointing north that should not be….
The love I have for the Lily comes from working in a friends garden several years ago. I was tasked with job of getting the garden prepped and ready for a Garden Show. One of many tasks was the job of replanting hundreds of these lovely flowers. As I began working with them I became aware how fragile they can be if missed handled. But what struck me was even though fragile in one way they are surprisingly strong and tough. They will survive all types of weather and still show great beauty always. Here is for the love of the lily!
Why am I awake? Because I thought a little nap was what I needed after supper this evening, er last evening. Unfortunately it was an hour and a half “nap” so as Yoda would say ” Awake , I am, hum” or something along that line. So post I will! Here is a picture I took recently of a church off a back road’s back road.
As the last of the days rays retreat into the horizon I take a walkabout our place. I am in search of the doe that I believe beds down somewhere on our place. I get near the creek that runs across the back side of our place and the light is fading but the bugs are not! I head back in and find these little daisies readying for bed on my way back.
Here are a few of my the ones I missed by this much…….
