Needing Some Pretty
As I sit here looking around the faceless landscape of my moms ER room, with the ever-present hums of medical equipment and the cooling system, I reflect on many things. One is how is the canvas of my life going to look when she is gone. Bigger yet how is it going to look while she is still here. Cancer is an ugly beast and the death it brings is usually more so. This is, I am relatively sure, going to be one of a series of visits till what will be will be. We need some pretty about right now.
I showed mom some photos I have taken and stored on my old lap top to kill a little time. The Mac is old but I am grateful to have it as a diversionary tool from the reality we are walking through right now. The following picture is one she liked because it was pretty. We are needing us some pretty right now.

Reflections Such As They Are
One Into The Setting Sun
One From A Year Past
I took this picture a year ago almost to the day. I was using my dads Fuji FinePix S700 to compare it to my PowerShot S3is. The S3is was the winner for me because of its remarkable versatility and all around solid performance. Now that my S3is is dead I am going to have to borrow pops little shooter for next weekends Cruise downtown. I am hoping I can translate nature shots into some decent pictures of yesterdays muscle cars.
Two From The Square
White Against Blue and Brown Eyes True
Saturday Unhurried
There is nothing I like more than going on a walkabout with the Bride. We always try to make Saturday’s unhurried but this time instead of a nature walkabout we checked our towns Second Saturday downtown event.
Our town is small but it has been around awhile as far as American standards go that is. What follows are a few photos from last evening. They were taken with my used PowerShot G3. I do not like using flash so the inside shots lack and will until I get a better handle on the cameras abilities ( and mine as well)!

Overexposed But Cool
Many Splendors From The Day
First things first: It rained here today! An honest to goodness earth soaking, dust covering rain! That is one splendor from the day but no photos I am afraid. During a break from the rain I happened on an old church off the beaten path on a wisp like tendril of a road. What follows are several shots of the life that still goes on at this boarded up but way cool old church. (Yes I said way cool:)!

The next two are somethings I saw and took a moment to capture for your viewing pleasure.
