Life Stuff
My main ride, better known as Spartacus to me and My Bride, has once again let know it is indifferent to my prayers of at least one month of trouble free usage. After sharing a ride with My Bride for the last 6 days I was able to make the time to use my shade-tree mechanic skills and fix the problem. It seems someone in the timeline of my cars existence, known to me and mine as BM (before me) and yes the acronym is not lost on us, decided to do a repair to the battery cables by cutting a few corners. Instead of replacing the positive cable as the should have they rigged it for a lack of a better term. I replaced it with a sealed cable and terminal. After a short test drive with Teddy riding shotgun it stared back up with no problems.

On the upside My Bride has cleared two very important hurdles in her last semester of nursing school. Oh, and she survived her 30th class reunion. And there has been a black bear on our place enjoying the yellow jacket nest on the upper part of our yard. Also Teddy the Rescue Corgi is allowing himself to Love both of us and after seven years in another place this one is is home. Till the next time. Peace~John

The Home Stretch
As most of you who are a regular visitor here know My Bride is studying to be a nurse. She is in her last semester of the RN program and as such my desire to write and post are, well just different than they used to be. With the new-normal I am trying to find a new balance. But as we enter the Home Stretch things will be, as the saying goes, it is what it is. Till the next time here is a little bit of natures wonder. Peace~John

One of Life’s Little Surprises
This morning after I drank my first cup of Joe and reading the news I headed out to clear my head using my favorite form of therapy: Nature Photography Therapy. Now for those who know about this type of therapy the initial consulting fee (Buying a camera, lens, extension tubes, tripods, extra batteries, etc..) isn’t cheap but it is well worth the investment!

Since about the middle of August I have been waiting for the Jewelweed plants on our place to start blooming. With more than average rain they have bloomed and are thrive much to my delight. The blooms(above photo) are great source of food for Hummingbirds and all types of pollinators. After taking the above photo I began setting up for a closer shot when I got a little surprise (see photo below). As you can see by the size of the bee that the Jewelweed has a very small bloom but has a big role to play in nature. Till the next time, Peace.
