Another One Bites The Dust

I am not afraid of extra long post titles nor for that matter run on sentences. As the last one proves that point very nicely. The title is about my recent cameras possible demise. You see my PowerShot S3is had a critical lens error because the motor for the lens burnt out. My PowerShot G3 died last week due to the camera’s card reader pins breaking/bending so the card will not go in all the way. Lastly but the not lest is the fact my PowerShot SX260 HS took a swim with the fishes. Well not really the fishes but in the cats water bowl. What is tragic funny about this is it was one of my the cats who did the deed. It is on rice right at this moment and I will let you know if it truly is dead. So you see it seems another one bites the dust!

Till the next time here is a few from the past week. Enjoy!

A Red Admiral Butterfly on the Hummingbird feeder.
The wind was gusting, as it does here in October, as I took this picture. Wind makes taking pictures of Wildflowers and foliage a challenge but not impossible. I simply timed the shot as the flower reached its greatest flex point. I took this right before it “bounced” back to where it stood before the wind blew.
I have a rough time with the color Red as far as my photo skills go. I hope I get to tackle that issues still again with this camera!

Autumns Feast

Autumn is a time where things fade and wither as the long winters sleep approaches. Till then nature recycles and replenishes it’s self. Below is a pictures of one example of this process. See one of natures Autumn Feasts. Enjoy!

As a bee harvests the last of this flowers pollen, a Cucumber Beetle enjoys the remaining petals. Nature’s Autumn juice and salad bar!

My Number One Photo Nemesis: The Color Red

My point and shots and I have a hard time taking great pictures of anything Red. I understand it has something to do with how digital sensors receive and interpret the color Red. I still feel I should be able to figure out how to take great pictures of natures Reds.

Until then these few will have to do!. Enjoy!

Flavors of Early Autumn

Not quite Summer. Not quite Winter. Just about perfect if you ask me. Here are three from this early part of Autumn. Enjoy!

There are blooming things and the green stuff is with us still…….

…..the days are cool, crisp and bright more than not. The clouds, of every shape and size, are a delight…..

… and the leaves both high and low are wonderful to behold!
