Two From Our Place

I was able to get a good start on some organizational issues I need to resolve (read: I threw away a lot of junk!) today. That and I was well done both by the task and the heat I decided to share two from our place.

IMG_8903 IMG_8915I used my Powershot SX10is for these captures.

I am a 59 year old guy who is asking questions about life like "what does it all mean?" and " how come hair will not grow on my head but grows real fast on my ears and back?" you know the deep stuff. I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for all. The rest I am still working on.

  1. You must be a very quiet and patient photographer. It’s amazing to see the shots you get. I adore that yellow flower in your background pic!

    1. The Butterfly was a little difficult but the cicada was an early morning capture and really easy. I went out this morning to try and find another but did not have any luck. So I am glad I got that one because it may the only set of captures I get of them this year.

As far as the yellow flower goes I am kind of attached to them as well.Every Spring when they arrive up on the hill I know green and blooming things are following close behind!

  2. Ok, this is starting to get weird (in a good way). We must be riding some same wavelength.

A few weeks ago I took some close up shots of a bee for a post I was planning and the next day you posted a picture of a bee. Then it was roses. Then I was going to tie together my bee post with something about cicadas . . .and JUST last night, I stopped in the middle of making dinner to go out and take close-up shots of the butterflies in the garden outside my window.

If you’re wearing a lime green shirt today, I think you might be me. 🙂

    1. I am glad you get out and take the shots. For me sharing is the best part of what I do but the walk is the second best part.
And surprisingly my lime green shirt does not fit me more….:)
