Good Enough

I am usually happy with most of my photos but I have struggled with my “stuff” since I started using my pops FujiFilm FinePix S700. Added to the learning curve of an unfamiliar camera is a few more health issues within the Family. My mother-in-law has been sick and has been hospitalized for several days now. It just keeps getting better and better I tell you.

As I make small but important times of quite, I also try to squeeze in a few shots here and there as well. As I look through my stuff and gather a few to post I have made the following observations:(1) I have less to choose from since my time has been limited and I take just a hand full of shots each time. (2)  They are not very good and (3) I am o.k. with that. We do not always get what we want but I have learned to enjoy what I have been given, within the space and time I have, and to find the joy in it. It really is good enough.

Two From The Coming Fall

This week I took several shots I was hoping to post on this blog. As I was perusing those few worth (read: those I got lucky on) photos I choose these two pictures. As I did so something seemed off until a little bell awakened me: These two photos look as if I took them in the Fall not in the Summer. Weird but beautiful for I am an Autumn kind of guy. Until the next time Enjoy!

Taking A Break

This will be a my last post for a few days. I am going whitewater rafting this coming weekend. At first I was not going since I just simply could not afford it but a unanimous  “sponsor” paid my way. This will be my first time whitewater rafting so I am looking forward to it and the break it will bring in my crazy little life.

I was talking to the owner of this beautiful rose at the time I was trying to frame the shot. Well though I missed it I still like it!
AS I was waiting on a call back from the office I stopped for a break. This sweat bee came in and hung out with me for a while. I was alright with that as long as he was not trying to sting me! I love the multicolored patterns of its wings.
This one is inspired by my friends Mike look at life, which happens to by his blogs’ title.

The above picture as I said is inspired by the blog Mikes Look at Life. You should check it out!

As I was taking this photo of Rose of Sharon I got a little surprise!

An Old Friend Revisited

I have owned two Nikon Coolpix 4600 within the last year and a handful of months. One died due to the previous’ owner neglect that lead to corrosion on a few keep function keys. The other is still alive but only shoots in auto mode and the zoom does not work. I gave it to my sister-in-law and she utilizes it as an everyday type point and shot.

Below are several shots from my first-now-dead Coolpix 4600. Enjoy!

A Mixed Bag

I wanted to title this hodgepodge of shots Sir Mix A Lot butt …never mind. Here are several from a day to days past. Enjoy!

Apple blossom on Grandfather Apple Tree this past spring. Taken with my beloved S3is PowerShot.
Reflecting is part of who I am so shooting reflections is not much of a stretch.
A lovely Lily I found growing in a small stand of trees.
This picture was taken several years ago, on 35mm film, of an old Sear Catalog.
Flutterbies as so called by The Bride. I like it!
