A dear friend of mine has a wonderful garden or three and the roses along one of brick path’s are blooming. I love roses but have a hard time photographing red for some reason. Oh well, here they are in all their glorious imperfection. Enjoy!

Here are several shoots of things everyday finds that I find to be cool. Enjoy!
I got this camera a week and a three days ago so I am still learn my way around. I have used the Live and Programmable modes so far. These are three I took today that came out half way decent. Enjoy!
The second digital camera I bought is also been my favorite. It is a Canon PowerShot S3is and it is a solid, versatile and competent camera. After a visit to my place from manojuchila @ Goosby’s Photography I toured his place. I then started to appreciate the Canon line of PowerShot S series more. He uses a PowerShot S5is as well as a Canon compact SD series camera.
So I would like you to meet my little friend the Canon S3is, well at least the world through its lens. Enjoy!
My photoblog has been up and running now for almost a month now. In that month I have had many wonderful visitors who are dedicated to photography and telling stories through this medium stop by. There is a thread that runs through the ones I am really drawn to: No matter the tool ones uses, passion always shows through. Not cost of the equipment, not technique but the passion speaks to me.
I have to admit there are some things my photo tools cannot do all that well but I can tell anyone who is willing to listen this: If it sings to you who cares! Take the walk and take the shot. Or not. Some of my best times out and about has been the walk not the shot. Sometimes it is just being in the moment of being. Simple and yet very hard to do. Passion is not complex either we just seem to make it so.
To those who have been kind enough to stop by: Thank You! If you are not interested in taking pictures that is o.k because we all love to share so you do not have to. All you have to do is take the walk. Passion will soon follow. Peace.
Below are some pictures I took a few weeks back with my old Minolta Maxxum 5000. Enjoy!
I am on two days doctor ordered rest. I am a terrible patient but have complied with those orders for the most part. As one who likes to move about the need to move overcame me as the day got brighter. So I had to take a little walkabout and see what I could see. Here is the rewards of my (very) brief time in the sun. Enjoy!
Today, after a very lazy start, me and The Bride went on a leisurely walk around the place. After finding the areas I had cleaned out paths last year still very passable we went down to the creek. The violet pictured is about ten feet down the bank right above the creek. It was such a stark contrast to the sandy bank and bleak brown creek bottom I had to take the shot.
The apple blossom is from a very old apple tree The Bride has named Grandfather Apple. It has bloomed early like every thing else around here and adds flavor to the emerging colors and smells of an early spring.
The last photo is of a wooden pallet outside of the loading dock at work. I see the pallet as thus so I am not sure what that says about me.
Please feel free to comment on what you like and what you do not.
