For all the fans of my place, both of you, I will now tell you what has occupied my for the last week. My friend Sarah ask me to play drums for the musical Big Fish. I had to missed all but two of the band rehearsals so this was tech week and three shows. The young men and women did an absolutely fantastic job putting this play on. This evening was our last performance and My Bride came out to the show and said it was as good as I thought it was.Now that things are kind of back to normal I hope to post a few shots I got to take around the theater. For now here are two I took in B&W. One is of the theater from my stage right position, though the curtains had not yet been closed in front of me to help control the volume of my drum kit. The other speaks for me as to one of the reasons I loved this show.
Aww, daffodils 🙂 I am glad it was a success. Congratulations, John. It’s nice to see you happy.
Happy and more important to me content in my own contribution to the play. We artist, no matter our medium, can be our worse critics but in this moment I felt I did not leave anything undone. That is not to say I cannot improve but it felt right. More over the audience enjoyed the play and My Bride said I did well.
Sounds like a lot of fun and a nice break too!
it was a blast and I discovered I like being behind the music as much as I do the camera.
