My 20th Wedding Anniversary Present

Around this time last year I got my 20th wedding Anniversary present from The Bride. Now our Anniversary was in the December past but with Pops death and all that comes with it we didn’t feel like celebrating too much. Not that it isn’t a big deal, it is, but it was a period of personal transition as well as a time of dealing with the grief for the both of us. My Pops loved my wife and knew her long before I did. Truth is I think he liked her a little better than he did me. That is alright with my because he liked my a whole lot. In that light gifts meant nothing, just us being together was the real prize. A bit about the ring. It is silver with opal and was American Indian made. It just sung to me with its simple beauty.
