A Few With The PowerShot SX260

I am still pretty busy but I still try to grab the rare opportunity to take the shot when I can. I am using my PowerShot SX260 as my number one shooter since I have to take my pops FujiFilm S700 back to him. Mom and pop are heading to a lake cabin for what may be their last Anniversary. He wants his camera for the occasion for obvious reasons.

After a nice talk tonight with mom I decides to take a break and look at the shots I have taken over the last several days. All are taken with my PowerShot SX260. I am heading into a new chapter with it and I am cautiously optimistic. Here are several I have taken this week. Enjoy!

An experiment in depth of field.
A very old shed with an old hand pump.
Tomatoes growing on and around an old plow.
The moon taken at the digital end of the zoom.

I am a 61 year old guy who is asking questions about life like "what does it all mean?" and " how come hair will not grow on my head but grows real fast on my ears and back?" you know the deep stuff. I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for all. The rest I am still working on.

  1. Nice work with the black and white. And the moon shot. I’ve tried to capture the moon a few times and it turned out two dimensional and blurry. Nice work, you really caught the sense of mass and texture here.

    1. Thanks Andy! I love B&W and try to shot it with the cameras built in settings and not photoshop it. First off the photoshop has to convert color to B&W and I feel it loses a small amount of “feel” and secondly I suck at photoshopping! The shot of the moon I used a tripod which I find is the only way I can get a decent shot of the moon.
