Those are really striking. It must be oddly pretty and sad as they fade out.

  They actually last a few weeks. The artists spray hairspray over them when they are done but you are right it does fade after awhile. Hopefully the memories last till next year.

Rather like sand painting and mandalas…. The very impermanance of them is part of their beauty.
