I had as much difficultly deciding whether to use “it’s” or “its” in the post title as I did with the shot evaluation on my SP350. Actually less so than coming to grips with this wonderful but aggravating camera! That will be an ongoing issue I am afraid but I have no choice to use it since my PowerShot S3is died and the battery on the G3 lasts about twenty or so shots. Trust me this is just an inconvenient reality not a real problem!

iT’S = It is… Just think of the two words… It’s a contraction between them with the apostrophe taking the place of the “i”…. I know, I’m boring, but I got all this stuff hammered into my head as a kid….
I too like your pealing paint photo… Actually I enjoy all the rust photos. I used to know a caver who was big on studying rust… it’s formed by a bacteria. That’s why you can keep things from rusting if you cover them with oil… keeps the “bus” out.
But the patterns these things make is akin to crystal…. just made up of a different form… it builds and takes on a life of it’s own.

I am glad I offered you an opportunity to use knowledge that I have obviously forgotten! And I remembered there was a reason oil stopped rust but once again I could not remember the underlining reason why.
Hope you don’t mind I shared it on my FB page… before you had a chance to change the it’s… but I’ll bet you dollars to donuts no one will notice! 🙂
