Saying Goodnight To The Day

As the last of the days rays retreat into the horizon I take a walkabout our place. I am in search of the doe that I believe beds down somewhere on our place. I get near the creek that runs across the back side of our place and the light is fading but the bugs are not! I head back in and find these little daisies readying for bed on my way back.

I am a 61 year old guy who is asking questions about life like "what does it all mean?" and " how come hair will not grow on my head but grows real fast on my ears and back?" you know the deep stuff. I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for all. The rest I am still working on.

  1. This evening I too went out into my garden for the cool of the evening…and the light itself was so captivating on every leaf…a glow. Nothing I could capture with my camera so I stopped at my blueberry bush and found a hand full of blueberries and was just so thankful for such beauty all around me. Looks like you had that kind of a feeling too. These are rare memories to be kept for our old age.

    1. There are things the camera cannot catch but even at its best photography it is no substitute for a fond memory. Or a story well told, a poem writing with passion, a song sang with conviction…..
