My Baby Sitter

DSC02190 copy

Late Wednesday night I had a little mishap at the house. Thursday found me in some distress so I checked my self into the ER. Over the next 36 or so hours found me having two outpatient procedures and enough x-rays to make me glow beyond 2025.With that said the prognosis is good but I will be recouping for another week or so. The Bride is in school and has pulled double duty as my nurse and of a college student. When she is busy this lovely ol’ cat of around 20 years of age has been my baby sitter. As I get better I will post more.

A Life Lesson From This Guy

You see this little guy? When the Bride and I sat down outside to fill out papers for financial aid for her schooling, we never imagined this little spider was going to remind us something we already knew. I was sitting in my chair when The Bride points out a spider making its way up my pants legs. Since the last season of loss I decided I just didn’t feel the need to smash it. I blew at it till it jumped/flew to the porch floor. Several seconds past since the landing and then right back up my pants leg it came. I took a piece of paper and coaxed it on to the paper and moved it off the porch, about three or four steps, into the yard. After about five minutes back comes this little spider and it starts up my foot. The next relocation project finds the spider moved once again, this time via air mail, back into the yard. Another five minutes pass and here comes this wee little spider back across the porch. This time he climbs up the table and I move it once again via paper to the yard. Not long after it comes back onto the porch just like clock work. This time I move my chair over a foot or so and making sure I do not crush it I head inside and grab my camera. It heads across the porch and up my reclining camp chair and to who knows where. We have good laugh but we have been reminded of something that can get lost in the heat of life: Never give up when things do not go your way and stay the course.  A little life lesson from this guy.

Collaboration

This past week or so I had been working towards hosting a B&W challenge for Paula @ Lost In Translation. As I was looking for something to post I had that in mind and then I found this.I looked at this photo and thought about how much better I am when I work in conjunction with others, in almost all things, but especially in the creative realm. This photo is of two guys working through a song at an open mic night. Here is to collaboration!

Word Press Weekly Photo Challenge: Vivid

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Vivid.”  I had about two minutes to spare for this challenge, well maybe ten seconds, but none the less I love the theme and wanted to play along. Unfortunately limited time means limit opportunities as far as subject matter. I decided to shot something with in ten feet of where I am. Here it is. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
