Banging About

The days are slipping into Autumn’s bosom here and the colors of the season are fading way. No matter what is going on with weather The Bride and I continue this wild ride to her Nursing degree. Now that I am feeling better I am finding things left undone from Seasons past. As in any challenge the goal is to move forward but sometimes dealing with the past is necessary. This is challenging as some of us never move from the past to live in the present. On top of all that consists of I have started playing Open Mic nights at a few places around town two or three times a month. I will be in a play on diversity( by the way of music) in November and part of the band providing the music for Big Fish next March. I decided also I needed to heed Lee’s advice and start writing again. I am really working hard to stay focused, yet flexible but do it in a way that makes sense to me. As for my photography I am still going to be displaying my stuff just not every day. Oh and I have started reading more as well of things that strike my fancy. The photo I am using today is the cover of the last book I completed. Though a very, very short read the story with the accompanying photos was very moving.

Till the next time we meet I will just be banging about!

Happy is a state of mind, at least as I see it, and can be found in the most unlikely places. For me there are many such places but my place on the web is special to me. Why one might ask is this so and the answer is simple: I get to share with others and they get to share with me and others as well.

Love That Face

The joy of a puppy or dog meeting someone new can not truly be captured by the camera. So when we meet this little rescued dog I decided simply drink in of that joy a dog conveys to us humans from their hearts. The Bride and I talk to its owner as we loved and were loved by this puppy, which it turns out is a rescue. The more I looked at the markings and the lines of this puppy I knew I had to take a photo or two. Well the little thing wanted to give love and get some as well that a good snap was not going to happen. So I took this one and I hope you love that face as much as I do.

A Cardinal From Last Sproing

After what was a very good but tiring day at work I just want to slide into a low-impact evening. That did not happen and I am alright that my plans did not pan out. When I got home The Bride gave me a message to call a man we meet, and have become friends with, through the local music scene. He ask me to back him up on the hand drums at local eatery/bar tonight. I said yes and as tires as I was I had a blast. With not a thing to post I went to the Way-Back-Files. So here is a Cardinal from last Spring.
