A Little Something With Big Meaning

Since most have posted their Christmas Moon photos I decieded not to post my Christmas Eve Photo. Why Christmas Eve? We got a few inches of rain of Christmas taking a photo of the full moon was out of the question. So as I sat quietly contemplating the victories and defeats of the past year, I looked the top of out fold-down desk. So I contemplating on how much this world, and myself, need hope I found this cross of my mom’s to be a great comfort.

Black & White Sunday: Leading Lines

The thing I love about challenges is they make me think outside the parameter of my comfort zone. This challenge at Paula’s place is one I am excited about because I like shooting from varies view points. Now as a one dimensional kind of guys this is kind of weird but I hate shooting anything straight on. Just don’t like it even if that is what one should do. One dimensional may mean hard headed…….just saying. So here is some of my contributions to Black & White Sunday:Leading Lines.

Thursday’s Special: Backlit

Today is our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. That being the case I didn’t give much thought to photography  other than my usual “carry a camera just in case….” default. We had a lovely time just being in the moment wherever we were. So when we came upon an Art gallery in an old building we went with the flow of the day and went inside. The entrance was off an alley way and I didn’t expect much but as an Art lover I was sure we would find something of interest inside. As I glanced inside as I opened the door for My Bride I was greeted with an oasis of wonderment on a bleak and gray day.

To say we enjoyed the visit would be an understatement but as we were leaving the sun peaked out for a quick appearance. An idea came to me and I  took a few quick shots and hoped they would fit the bill for a photo challenge I hoped to contribute to. The following are two captures I took for Paula’s Thursday Special: Backlit.
