Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge:Day 7

This the last installment of the 7 Day Nature Challenge so I wanted the shots to from today. Since I was off work I had a little time to get a few captures from the day. None of them are anything special but been able to get outside and enjoy the sights of nature is a blessing. Till the next time~Peace.

Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge: Day 6

Nature can be defined many ways but for a lot of us it is simply the cycle of life. The tension we have as human beings is to advocate the balance the of that-was-before us and the products we have created. Products, man-made objects, have a cycle of consumption not a true cycle of life. We need to respect the differences and seek to find the balance to both as nature leads the way. Here is Butterfly, my golden-eyed stray, who gave birth to three kittens and today as my companion in the journey to finding balance in this cycle of life and death, truth and illusion. From Queen to companion:Butterfly.

Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge: Landscapes Day 4

I love open spaces and places that reach into infinite but capturing that in photos is not my forte’ though I have tried many times. I have been blessed to see lovely wide open spaces in my life. I also know there is nothing like being there in the moment, yet I know not everyone can. That lack of being able to take a scene of wonderment and share it with those who need it makes me a little critical of my attempts. Tonight I step aside and invite you a place of beauty and wonderment I have been lucky enough to experience.

Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge:Day 3

Today’s photo is the photo that awoke within me the desire to photograph nature. There were a few photos I took back in the day of film, and film only, that ignited a spark within me to do so but this photo said to me ” You have a gift, pursuit it”. For those who have been following me let me say the obvious: One may have a gift to do a certain thing(play the piano, cook, etc..), but that does not mean they are gifted. Subtle difference and one I will let you ponder on. Till day 4 here is the photo that relight a passion in me.

Seven Day Nature Photo Challenge:Day 1

I have been invited to participate in a photo challenge by Judy Dykstra-Brown @ LifeLessons. Now that we are having a more sunny days than gray/raining days I believe I shall enjoy this challenge! I love nature photography and through it have become more connected to the world as a whole. For example I am more aware of the roles pollinators play in our world. And how that role is in danger due to the over and irresponsible use of pesticides. So today I am presenting a few pictures from Grandfather Apple tree. The tree was here when we moved in 16 odd years ago and has been a source of great pleasure to me and My Bride(she named the tree by the way).
