Early last month I was at the lake trying to take pictures of ducks in flight, which by the way is my new obsession. Since they were being feed by the locals I decided to stand on the edge of the fowl feast and see what I could see. I captured this immature female mallard at the edge of the feeding frenzy. As I was looking for something else to pique my interest I heard a warning(?) quack behind me, quickly swung around and some how got this capture. I had actually forgotten about this one but ran across it, in the kind-a-way-back files, as I was looking for something to post.
