As I mentioned in an earlier post I purchased a used Minolta DiMage S414. It does a decent job with reds that my other cameras do not but I am having trouble framing shots with it. Since I am starting to like this little point and shot I will keep at till I learn to drive it a little better. Till then here is some red from the day. Enjoy!
We had a heavy fog last night, combined with freezing temps, and it left its icy mark on everything. The Knock Out Roses on our place refuse to be knocked out by the fog/frost combo. The day got a little warmed and much sunnier. Not sure what type bush this is ( I call ever bush that produces red berries a Holly bush) but as the leaves fade the berries keep shining!
I am a 61 year old guy who is asking questions about life like "what does it all mean?" and " how come hair will not grow on my head but grows real fast on my ears and back?" you know the deep stuff. I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for all. The rest I am still working on.

I only wish that one day I learn to use the camera that I have. Your shots are really nice. You can tell that you have a lot of practice. Love them.
I have taken a few photos over the last few years but I try to take the shot(s) I like first and foremost. I am not a good student so doing that one thing, taking the shots I like, keeps me from getting discouraged with the learn process.Besides I like your shots and you have an great eye on framing your shots.
As far as your camera goes explore the cameras manual settings AFTER you take the shots you need for your articles and posts:)
Thanks for the kind words and dropping by.
Appreciate your feedback on my stuff. You gave me incentive to look at the camera’s manual and t-r-y to use the manual settings. I’ll let you know what happens. Looking forward to more tips-thank you so much. Sandi
