An Atypical Monday

Today started out well, almost great I would venture to say. The day greeted me with the soft hum of dawns warmth.
I arrived at work thinking a smooth Monday, well honestly a smooth ANY day, would be nice. It was a quiet, not brightly lit but lovely kind of day.
I could not believe my good fortune of how smooth of a day it was! So as soon as Five O’Clock arrived I took off for the friendly skies of my life’s airways!

I hope your Monday was a great atypical Monday!

I am a 61 year old guy who is asking questions about life like "what does it all mean?" and " how come hair will not grow on my head but grows real fast on my ears and back?" you know the deep stuff. I believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for all. The rest I am still working on.

  1. I recieved a surprise gift in my mail this morning. Nick Virgilio:A Life In Haiku…published by Turtle Light Press (fill in the spaces and change the “dot” to a period.

    Memorial Day:
    staring at the grassy plot
    set aside for me

    sticky heat
    any caterpillar wriggling
    on a thread of air!

Lots in this book for me to absorb…. Gifts like this, that can reward me day after day are truly a marvelous treasure. So I guess you might call it an “atypical” day… although every day is a day of my life…no matter what state I find myself… all of it makes great haiku.

    1. I just checked out your thread here and I also saw your FB post. I will checked it out and thanks for the “sharing” of my posts!

  2. Once again it didn’t print the address for Turtle Light Press so here goes one more time:

www. turtlelightpress (dot) com ….. fill in the spaces and change the (dot) to a period.
