First Roses of Spring

A dear friend of mine has a wonderful garden or three and the roses along one of brick path’s are blooming. I love roses but have a hard time photographing red for some reason. Oh well, here they are in all their glorious imperfection. Enjoy!

A Photo Plus One

Just a couple things from around the place. Enjoy!

A little flower called a Philadelphia Fleabane that is growing by the old barn.
I barb wire fence and gate on my place left over from when I leased it out to someone raising cattle and then Donkeys.

Things I Find To Be Cool

Here are several shoots of things everyday finds that I find to be cool. Enjoy!

A Bunny hanging out in the garden with his butterfly friend.
Discarded lemons in a parking lot.
This dragonfly as being whipped to a fro by the wind. I thought I would be lucky just to get a shot that was not blurry. Instead it looks like the dragonfly is flying
Apple blossom petals on The Brides car. Love the contrast!

Meet The Canon SX260 HS

I got this camera a week and a three days ago so I am still learn my way around. I have used the Live and Programmable modes so far. These are three I took today that came out half way decent. Enjoy!

The Bride says it is time for me to get a haircut when my head starts looking like this.
I found out how to shoot in B&W finally. Next time maybe I should read the directions.
A stray petal from Grandfather Apples dwindling blossoms.

Meet My Little Friend The Canon S3is

The second digital camera I bought is also been my favorite. It is a Canon PowerShot S3is and it is a solid, versatile and competent camera. After a visit to my place from manojuchila @ Goosby’s Photography  I toured his place. I then started to appreciate the Canon line of PowerShot S series more. He uses a PowerShot S5is as well as a Canon compact SD series camera.

So I would like you to meet my little friend the Canon S3is, well at least the world through its lens. Enjoy!

A dandelion sending off it pods to take over the world.
Pretty yellow flowers on top of weeds growing in the yard.
White flowers blooming on the top of weeds in the yard.
I love the contrast between the hardness of the rusty post and the soft touch of the flowers.

Taking A Moment From Resting

I am on two days doctor ordered rest. I am a terrible patient but have complied with those orders for the most part. As one who likes to move about the need to move overcame me as the day got brighter. So I had to take a little walkabout and see what I could see. Here is the rewards of my (very) brief time in the sun. Enjoy!

I found this guy sunning out back by the fence.
A white violet? Who knew. Not me obviously.
Bees are hard to photograph because , well they are busy.
My cat showing me how it is done. He has this bed rest thing done pat!
